The kids and I went to this fantastic place in the West Village yesterday with the homeschool group. It was an incredibly huge space with so much for the kids to do. There were about 10 pool tables, 3 ping-pong tables, 3 table shuffleboard games, foosball, and tons of tables for chess and scrabble. W tried just about everything and had so much fun. Many of his friends were there and he also met a few new kids. J was so happy to see a good number of kids her age there. She spent the majority of the time playing pool with new friends. It's all laid out using space really efficiently. There was a huge bar being tended by some awesome staff and lights are kept real low which just added to the whole NYC feel to it. There must have been about 50 of us there and it wasn't crowded at all. I love that they opened the place to homeschoolers before-hours. The owners are actually excited to have us there! The best part is that it was only a 20-minute subway ride away - oh, and the West Village is beautiful. It's mainly residential with tons of small restaurants. Real bohemian - a haven for artists, musicians, and writers. The kids and I are really looking forward to next time.

Oh man... I was debating whether or not to go yesterday... I should have went huh?
Were a lot of litle kids there?
Not really any little kids there. Definitely 8 and up. There are lots of tables though. You could bring stuff for the girls to do. F would LOVE it, though. Any way to manage it?
I just want to say that I am soooo jealous of all the cool things you get to do by living in NYC.
